When Are Michelin Stars Announced? Every Guide’s Ceremony Date

Michelin stars aren’t announced all at once. Each of the 57 MICHELIN Guides below reveals its new stars once a year, on its own date, usually at a ceremony in the country or city it covers. The next is the MICHELIN Guide Texas, on October 8, 2026. Here is every guide’s latest and next date, destination by destination.

The new stars count from the moment they are announced. Most ceremonies are streamed live on the MICHELIN Guide’s YouTube channel, and the full selection goes up on its website and app the same day. We then check each guide’s results against our restaurant list and update the stars on every page that shows them; where a guide has just announced and our pages haven’t caught up yet, the tables below say so. Michelin Guide ceremony dates by destination

One row per guide, grouped by continent. Some guides cover several countries: the Nordic Countries guide covers five, and Great Britain and Ireland share one. Some countries have several guides with their own dates, as in Japan, China, Canada and the United States, where Michelin publishes a guide per city or region. Each destination’s name opens its starred restaurants with their prices.

When is Michelin star season?

There isn’t one season: new stars arrive in every part of the year. The busiest months are October (11 guides), June (8 guides) and May (6 guides). The calendar shows the month each guide is next due, or revealed its latest stars where the next date isn’t announced; guides do move, so check the table above for the exact day.

How a Michelin Guide ceremony works

A ceremony is an invitation-only event for the chefs, the press and the guide’s partners, often a tourism board or city government that helps pay for the guide. Michelin usually names the date and host city a few months ahead, and the host moves from city to city: the Great Britain & Ireland ceremony went from Glasgow in 2025 to Dublin in 2026, and France’s from Metz to Monaco. Several guides, among them Hong Kong & Macau, Singapore and Italy, publish their Bib Gourmand list a week or so before the stars.

A few guides now skip the ceremony. Florida, Québec and Buenos Aires & Mendoza published their 2026 stars online, and Texas chose to do the same for its October 2026 selection.
