Top Michelin Star Restaurants in the World
Updated October 7, 2026 · Star counts and prices checked October 2026

The top Michelin star restaurant in the world by Google reviews is Don Julio in Buenos Aires, with 19,846 reviews. The highest rated with at least 1,000 reviews is San Omakase in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, rated 5.0 out of 5, and the best rated three-star restaurant is Restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville, rated 4.9.
The MICHELIN Guide doesn’t rank its restaurants beyond giving them one, two or three stars. So to find the most popular Michelin star restaurants, we counted something it doesn’t: how many people have reviewed each of the world’s 3,883 starred restaurants on Google, and how they rated them. Together they have more than 2.1 million reviews. Below are the top 10, the top 50, the highest rated, the best 3 Michelin star restaurants in the world by rating, the most popular at each star level, the most affordable, and the favorite in every country.
The top 10 Michelin star restaurants in the world
These are the 10 most reviewed Michelin star restaurants on Google. Most hold one star, and several are casual places: a steakhouse, two roast-goose shops and a taquería. That’s no accident. A restaurant that seats hundreds a day without bookings collects reviews far faster than a 20-seat tasting-menu room, so this list measures how many people a starred kitchen feeds as much as how famous it is. For what the stars themselves mean, see What is a Michelin star?
1 Don Julio, Buenos Aires, Argentina
★ 1 star · Grills · Chef Pablo Rivero · 19,846 Google reviews, rated 4.4 · From ARS 150,000 (about $100) · MICHELIN Guide page
A parrilla (Argentine steakhouse) on a Palermo street corner, run by Pablo Rivero, Don Julio grills grass-fed beef over wood and charcoal and backs it with one of the deepest wine cellars in Buenos Aires. It won its star in the MICHELIN Guide’s first Argentina edition. There’s no tasting menu, so it seats far more diners than a fine-dining room, which is why its review count is in a league of its own. Book well ahead, or expect to wait for a table.
2 La Table d'Hôtes - Le Quatrième Mur, Bordeaux, France
★ 1 star · Modern Cuisine · Chef Philippe Etchebest · 10,591 Google reviews, rated 4.4 · From €185 (about $210) · MICHELIN Guide page
Philippe Etchebest, known across France as a judge on Top Chef and the host of Cauchemar en cuisine, runs Le Quatrième Mur, a brasserie inside Bordeaux’s Grand Théâtre. The star belongs to La Table d’Hôtes, a small chef’s table within it serving a single menu at lunch and dinner. Google lists the two together, so most of these reviews are for the brasserie; the starred table has only a handful of seats and books up weeks ahead.
3 iDen & QuanJuDe Beijing Duck House, Vancouver, Canada
★ 1 star · Chinese · Chef Matt Chen · 9,446 Google reviews, rated 4.7 · From CA$198 (about $140) · MICHELIN Guide page
The Vancouver outpost of Quanjude, the Beijing roast-duck house founded in 1864, serves its Peking duck in a tasting menu as well as à la carte, with a shorter tasting menu at lunch. It is the most reviewed starred restaurant in North America and one of the best rated in this top 10, a good sign that the crowds leave happy.
4 Casa Vigil, Maipú, Argentina
★ 1 star · Contemporary · Chef Iván Azar · 8,545 Google reviews, rated 4.7 · From ARS 149,000 (about $100) · MICHELIN Guide page
A winery restaurant in Maipú, just outside Mendoza, founded by winemaker Alejandro Vigil, with chef Iván Azar in the kitchen. Dinner is a 10-course tasting menu paired with the estate’s own wines, but most visitors come for the three-course lunch among the vines, part of a day touring the wine country.
5 Villa Crespi, Orta San Giulio, Italy
★★★ 3 stars · Creative · Chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo · 6,592 Google reviews, rated 4.8 · From €330 (about $370) · MICHELIN Guide page
Antonino Cannavacciuolo, a household name in Italy as a judge on MasterChef Italia, cooks southern Italian flavors with Piedmont produce in a Moorish-style villa on the shore of Lake Orta. It is the most reviewed three-star restaurant in the world, helped by the hotel rooms upstairs, and its rating holds near the top of the scale. We haven’t confirmed this year’s tasting menu price yet.
6 Kam's Roast Goose, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
★ 1 star · Cantonese Roast Meats · 6,352 Google reviews, rated 4.1 · From HK$93 (about $10) · MICHELIN Guide page
A small shop on Hennessy Road in Wan Chai serving Cantonese roast meats over rice. The roast goose leg is the dish people line up for, at a price that makes it one of the cheapest starred meals anywhere. There are no bookings and tables are shared, so it serves far more people in a day than a tasting-menu room does in a month.
7 Paul Bocuse, Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or, France
★★ 2 stars · Classic Cuisine · Chef Olivier Couvin · 6,176 Google reviews, rated 4.9 · From €370 (about $415) · MICHELIN Guide page
L’Auberge du Pont de Collonges, beside the Saône just north of Lyon, is where Paul Bocuse built his name, and his classics are still on the menu, among them the black truffle soup he created for the Élysée Palace in 1975. It held three stars for 55 years until 2020 and now has two. With a 4.9 rating across thousands of reviews, it is the best rated restaurant in this top 10.
8 Pujol, Mexico City, Mexico
★★ 2 stars · Mexican · Chef Enrique Olvera · 6,061 Google reviews, rated 4.4 · From MX$3,495 (about $190) · MICHELIN Guide page
Enrique Olvera’s restaurant in Polanco put modern Mexican cooking on the world map. Every tasting menu includes its mole madre, a mole that has been kept going and refreshed for years, served beside a freshly made one. It won two stars in the MICHELIN Guide’s first Mexico edition, and there’s also a taco omakase at the bar for a little more.
9 Yat Lok (Central), Central, Hong Kong
★ 1 star · Cantonese Roast Meats · 5,999 Google reviews, rated 3.4 · From HK$197 (about $25) · MICHELIN Guide page
Another roast-goose specialist, on Stanley Street in Central, where the goose is roasted until the skin crackles and served on rice or with rice noodles. Its rating is the lowest in our top 50, a reminder that a star rates the cooking on the plate, not the wait, the space or the service.
10 La Once Mil, Mexico City, Mexico
★ 1 star · Mexican · 5,425 Google reviews, rated 4.8 · From MX$600 (about $35) · MICHELIN Guide page
A taquería in Lomas de Chapultepec that won its first star in the 2026 Mexico guide, making it one of the very few taco counters in the world with one. There are no bookings, tacos are priced individually, and a typical meal costs a fraction of a tasting menu. Its rating is among the highest in this top 50.
Top 50 most popular Michelin star restaurants
The full top 50, from 19,846 reviews down to 3,090. Between them they span 16 countries, led by the United States (9), France, Spain and Mexico. 37 of the 50 hold one star and 9 hold three, so the list mixes everyday favorites with the world’s most famous dining rooms: Le Bernardin and Eleven Madison Park in New York, El Celler de Can Roca and Disfrutar in Catalonia, Steirereck in Vienna and DiverXO in Madrid all make the cut.
A few places are here partly because their Google listing covers more than the starred restaurant: a brasserie with a chef’s table inside it, or a hotel. We’ve kept them in, as that’s how Google counts them, and say so where it matters.

Highest rated Michelin star restaurants in the world
Popularity isn’t the same as satisfaction, so this list ranks by Google rating instead. To keep out restaurants with a perfect score from a few dozen diners, we only count those with at least 1,000 reviews. 28 starred restaurants clear that bar with a rating of 4.9 or higher, and these are the top 10, best rated first and then by number of reviews.
Two things stand out. First, France dominates. Most of these are one-star restaurants in provincial towns, from Brittany to Alsace, where a chef-owner often cooks a set menu for a few dozen guests a night, many of whom have traveled specially to eat there. Second, they’re good value: most of their dinner menus cost well under the $385 a three-star menu typically costs, and several have cheaper lunches. If you want a starred meal that almost everyone loves, this is the list to plan from.

Best 3 Michelin star restaurants in the world, by rating
Three stars is the highest Michelin star rating, held by 161 restaurants. Ranked by Google rating (again with at least 1,000 reviews), the best rated is Restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville, outside Lausanne in Switzerland, a stronghold of classic French cooking. Spain does especially well, with El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Disfrutar in Barcelona and Martín Berasategui near San Sebastián all rated 4.8, as do Italy’s Villa Crespi and Uliassi on the Adriatic coast.
Expect to pay $345 and $445 per person for dinner at a three-star restaurant, before drinks and service. For every one of them, country by country, see every 3 Michelin star restaurant in the world.

Most popular restaurants at each star level
Because one-star restaurants fill most of the overall ranking, here are the 10 most reviewed at each level, so the two- and three-star dining rooms get a list of their own.
Most popular 3 Michelin star restaurants
Villa Crespi leads with 6,592 reviews, followed by El Celler de Can Roca and New York’s Le Bernardin, Eric Ripert’s seafood restaurant, which has held three stars since the New York guide began. Spain has the most three-star restaurants in this top 10, and Taipei’s Le Palais is the most reviewed in Asia. These are also among the hardest tables in the world to book: plan one to three months ahead, and see each city page for prices and booking links.

The most affordable popular Michelin star restaurants
The most affordable Michelin star restaurant in the world is usually a street-food stall or roast-meat shop in Singapore, Hong Kong or Bangkok, with dishes under $10. But plenty of well-loved starred restaurants cost less than a night out at many unstarred ones. These are the 10 most reviewed with a meal for $100 or less per person and a Google rating of at least 4.5: tacos and Oaxacan cooking in Mexico, Texas barbecue, Korean barbecue and noodles in New York, a winery lunch in Mendoza, and set lunches and bistro cooking in London, Paris and Amsterdam. The price shown is the cheapest way in, whether that’s a lunch menu or a typical spend à la carte.

How we ranked them
This is a Michelin star restaurants world ranking by Google reviews, not a judgment of whose cooking is best. Every restaurant here holds stars in the current MICHELIN Guide editions, and the stars come from the guide alone. The review counts and ratings come from Google Maps and were checked in October 2026; they grow every day, so the order shifts slightly between our updates. We refresh this list of the best Michelin star restaurants (2026 edition) after each guide’s annual ceremony, as stars are won and lost. Prices are per person, before drinks and service, in local currency with US dollars at recent exchange rates.
Google reviews favor restaurants that are open longer hours, seat more people, take walk-ins, or sit in a hotel or a busy tourist area, and some listings cover a bigger venue around the starred dining room. They also favor places in countries where people use Google Maps the most. So read the ranking as a measure of how many diners a restaurant reaches. For a sense of quality, the highest rated list is the better guide, and the stars themselves remain the best one.
Other lists, such as The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, rank restaurants by a vote of chefs, critics and food writers. They’re separate from the MICHELIN Guide, and their top restaurants don’t always hold three stars.
Frequently asked questions

The MICHELIN Guide doesn’t rank restaurants beyond one, two or three stars, so there is no official number one. By Google reviews, the most popular is Don Julio in Buenos Aires, with 19,846. The highest rated with at least 1,000 reviews is San Omakase (5.0), and the best rated three-star restaurant is Restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville.

Fame is hard to measure, but Google reviews are a fair guide to how many people have eaten somewhere. The most reviewed starred restaurant is Don Julio in Buenos Aires. Among three-star restaurants, the most reviewed are Villa Crespi, El Celler de Can Roca, Le Bernardin, Steirereck and Disfrutar, and among two-stars, Paul Bocuse and Pujol.

How much does a meal at a top Michelin star restaurant cost?
A dinner tasting menu typically costs about $175 per person at a one-star restaurant, $280 at two stars and $385 at three stars, before drinks and service. Several of the most popular starred restaurants cost far less: roast goose in Hong Kong, tacos in Mexico City and barbecue in Texas all come in under $40.
Are the most popular Michelin star restaurants the best?
Not necessarily. Review counts reward restaurants that seat many people, take walk-ins or sit in busy tourist areas. A small three-star restaurant may serve fewer guests in a year than a busy one-star canteen does in a month. Use the highest rated list, and the stars themselves, as the better guide to quality.
